Here are the process Details.
The creative process is not linear. Having a structure to follow gently guides the process:
We listen and brainstorm.
We create a plan.
We implement the plan.
We launch the Web site.
We support you.
We listen and brainstorm, in order to...
Propose
|
We offer an initial, in-depth
listening and brainstorming (!) meeting for free. We then
submit a Project Proposal with an initial plan, schedule, and cost estimate for your approval. If approved,
then we will continue with
discovery and visualization, as needed, in order to accomplish the steps below.
|
Discover
|
and learn about your business, your competition,
your Web site audience, goals, and vision. At this time, we also
collect existing materials ( print collateral, content, logo, business slogan, photos and images). You
can start the process by filling out our free questionnaire.
|
Visualize
|
the Web site by honing in on the Web site architecture (Example) (the navigation
and flow of the site), the Web site design (colors,
images, navigation symbols), the Web site content, and the
Web site marketing strategy.

We create a plan, and...
Specify
|
in detail the Web site
goals, the measurements of success, flow, general look, content,
marketing strategy, schedule, and cost. We also secure a Domain Name and order
hosting, if needed. We
present this in the Specification Plan. You approve this plan.

We implement the plan, working to...
Generate Content
|
including written and graphic content. The more you supply, the more cost-effective the project.
We can help you with the written content by offering advice, editting, and/or writing services.
( Writing for the Web is an art which often must balance succinct, catchy words and
graphics with substantial information.) We can help you with the graphic content by
offering to generate it or edit it or to train you how to do so.
|
Create Design Mockups
|
which we use to
agree upon the final look and flow of important pages. This is when we experiment with a
couple of looks - thus saving lots of programming
time later! You will approve a set of these Design Mockups (
Example 1,
Example 2),
which are like simple snapshots.
|
Create Programmed Mockups
|
by programming, filling in the
content,
and testing. You will approve a set of Programmed Mockups (
Example 1,
Example 2),
which show the
graphic look, flow, and some content of the Web site.
You'll also watch the site grow on a private Web site.
|
Finish and Refine
|
the Web site by fine-tuning the
content and programming - this is not the best
time to redo the look! Together we agree that the
Web site is ready to go public. You will approve the final version before launch.

We launch the Web site, and...
Upload
|
your Web site to your web server host under your
Domain name. We can help you
obtain a Domain name and a host for your Web
site.
|
Submit
|
your Web site to the search engines, as designated in the Specification Plan.

We support you, and...
Maintain
|
the Web site in two ways. First, we (you, us, or both of us, or a third
party) can
update the content (eg add news articles, new staff information, new products).
Second, we (you, us, or both of us, or a third party) can monitor
the Web site's place in the search engines, analyze
the site usage, and subsequently fine-tune the Web site. We can maintain the Web site for you, or
offer training and easy solutions if you want to update the site yourself. We also have
associates
who offer extensive Search Engine Optimization services.
